Sound of Music Sing-a-Long at Vina Robles Amphitheatre

HANG ON TO SOMETHING! Join us for a night to never let go of as The Sound of Music Sing-A-Long comes to Vina Robles Amphitheatre on Saturday, June 27th, 2026. This engaging sing-along event will feature a newly restored 4K screening of the 1965 Academy Award-winning film, filled with some of the most iconic songs in movie history. On-screen lyrics will allow audience members to sing along to all their favorites including “My Favorite Things”, “Do-Re-Mi”, “Edelweiss”, “Climb Ev’ry Mountain” and more. The Sound of Music Sing-A-Long will visit multiple cities across the United States allowing the film’s massive following of fans to come together and celebrate the joy and magic of this iconic story.

Rodgers & Hammerstein's The Sound of Music

Attend a concert where the music of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II lives on as the songs of South Pacific are brought to life in the magnificent setting of the amphitheatre. Sound of Music, the classic film about the Trapp Family Singers and their story that won 5 Academy Awards including Best Picture, lets you follow in the footsteps of Maria, an aspiring nun who is appointed as the governes of Captain von Trapp's 7 children and in the process, he and Maria fall in love and get married becoming the step-mother to the children set against the historical backdrop of 1930s Austria. The iconic soundtrack to this beloved film is one of the top selling soundtracks of all time. Many of its songs have become a part of our everyday culture with "My Favorite Things" being perhaps one of the most memorable and loved songs of all time. A film that was set and filmed in Salzburg in Austria many years ago, the iconic locations of the film are still visited by tourists and fans of the film to this day.

Julie Andrews

Can you imagine anyone else as Maria von Trapp in The Sound of Music than the incomparable Julie Andrews. An icon to actors and actresses across the generations, Julie’s soprano voice brings to mind the fun of singing “My Favorite Things” and other songs from this beloved film that we have loved since childhood. Julie Andrews won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Mary Poppins, and she has won three Emmy Awards, two Golden Globes, a British Academy Film Award and the Kennedy Center Honors, among other honours. Julie’s Library, her new series of audiobooks for children, was launched in 2020, although her last music album A Little Bit of Broadway, was released in 1988. Did you know that Julie Andrews was asked to sing for Queen Elizabeth when she was 13 years old and that the Queen praised her for her beautiful voice. Julie Andrews’ spirit shines through in every second of singing as Maria in this classic film.

Christopher Plummer

Starring Canadian actor Christopher Plummer as Captain von Trapp, the role is a far cry from the free-spirited and playful young character of Maria, as it is brought to life by the beautiful and charming starlet Audrey Hepburn. A more mature and theatrical take on the role of the stiff and rigid widowed Austrian Captain who is gradually seduced by the free-spirited young nun Maria, Plummer acts out the role of Captain von Trapp in a more refined and sophisticated way. Throughout his years acting, Plummer received the Triple Crown of Acting and won two Tony Awards and two Emmy Awards. Plummer became the oldest actor in history to win the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2012 for his role in Beginners at the age of 82. Some of his other films include, The Insider, Beginners and Knives Out. Initially training to become a concert pianist, Plummer switches to acting as his career of choice. This beautifully restored classic musical starring Julie Andrews is a fantastic tribute to the incredible acting abilities of Plummer that are still very present in the film, a movie he sadly passed away in 2021.

Vina Robles Amphitheatre Information

Experience the warmth and charm of our intimate Boutique Amphitheater located on a hillside of oak trees at 3800 Mill Road in Paso Robles, California. Our beautifully restored 19th century Spanish colonial style facility offers guests the option of reserved tiered seating, VIP suites or to picnic on the lawn in general admission. All seats are within 150 feet of the stage guaranteeing an intimate connection with the show. The venue seats 3,300 guests and has wheelchair accessible seating. Factory sealed water bottles 20oz or less are allowed. Food and drink are not permitted to be brought in from outside. Alcohol is available to guests 21 and older with proper ID. Parking Information

Gates Open 1 hour prior to Lot Opening Lots Open 1 hour prior to Gates Opening and are FREE. Preferred parking is available on a pay basis closer to the main entrance. Our lots are turf surfaced with some individual spaces paved. RV’s, Trailers and Tailgating are still welcome. Additional street parking is available throughout the city of Paso Robles.
