Bonnie Raitt has defined American music for decades with her slide guitar playing and her legendary raspy voice and her soulful, emotional songs. Classic songs by Bonnie Raitt include 'Something to Talk About', 'I Can't Make You Love Me' and 'Love Sneakin' Up on You'. Her 2022 release 'Just Like That...' Won the Grammy Award for Best Americana Album. With 13 Grammy Awards and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 Bonnie Raitt is revered as one of the top singer-songwriters in American music today. Her songs are full of genuine emotion and feeling whether it is a fast-paced blues number or a beautiful heartfelt ballad. Her latest work explores the connections we all have with each other.
When not touring with Raitt or recording his own music, New Orleans' favorite son Jon Cleary tours the world as a solo ambassador of New Orleans music. He is a talented singer, song writer and performer who brings a funky R&B style with a combination of Gospel and Classic Funk to all of the songs that he plays on his great piano. Many of the songs that Jon performs are quite groovy and have been well received by audiences everywhere. His 2015 release GoGo Juice earned him a Grammy for Best Regional Roots Music Album. His 2017 release Codename Vybeer was a NOLA Jazz and Heritage release of the year award winner. Some of the songs that Jon often performs include his Frenchmen Street Blues and his Occapella. Jon is an Englishman by birth but the Englishman discovered his true home in New Orleans. Although he performs all over the world Cleary considers New Orleans to be his home. He can bring a great production of his songs to any stage he performs on. His 2021 release Dyna-Mite is a great celebration of the traditional New Orleans Funk and Soul music that he grew up with. Fans of Cleary will enjoy new songs as well as some of his more classic numbers.
